Original Dianne Krumel Duck Etchings

Beautiful work by renown Florida wildlife artist Dianne Krumel. This pair are original limited edition signed and numbered etchings under glass. The Nielsen metal frames are a lovely gold tone aluminum in terrific condition. Only some tiny minor surface scratches in a few spots on the edge.

Each measures 16 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches. I contacted the artist herself and she confirms they were done in the mid 80's and are today worth $300 each. Due to her hand etching process, they are considered original art, as no two works are the same.

New Neighbors or Something Else?

The house across the street has been vacant for months. Then, this week he appeared. No "humans" have yet moved into the house. Humm...

Crazy Mommy!

scream
You know what does not help menopausal symptoms? Having your house re-sided in 90 degree heat. Listening to the hammering and the banging of wood for days on end is making me crazy!

On top of that, having my five year old son opening and closing the garage door ten times a day, to see what they are doing, is letting out the a/c and running up my electric bill.

I know it will look terrific when finished and painted, but having four strange men at my house all day, stopping me from running around in my comfy clothes, is also making me something of an ogre. I'm sure my son will agree!

I need to try and leave the house for a few hours, but they keep tripping the circuit breaker and I have to flip the switch on the box inside my house. I have no intention of leaving them alone with access to my house. So I guess I'm stuck for a while.

I may need to have a night in a "Calgon take me away " bath, but alas I have no Calgon bath beads in the house. Maybe a soak in a warm tub will still have the same effect.

Spring Fever

I seem to be plagued with spring fever as of late. I can't get motivated to move outside and the weather here is not helping. The yard is so dry and yet the air is humid. We really need some rain. Only in Florida can you have a dead dry lawn and humidity that could choke you.

I used to love to garden, but honestly it wears my out. I plan to get the yard in shape so my son and I can enjoy it but there is a lot of work to be done. We have a problem with fire ants and wasps like everyone else here and I won't use a pest control service.

So I will be looking for natural ways to control them. I may have to hire someone to get it started and then I can just maintain it. I mean really, what good is living in Florida if you can't use your back yard?
